Tax Season is coming fast. Here’s a list of some of this year’s important tax dates.
April 18, 2017 – Tax Filing/Extension Deadline
January 23, 2017 – IRS begins accepting E-filed returns.
February 15, 2017 – New this year, refunds that include the Earned Income Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit will be released on February 15. This is due to a new law so that refunds can be matched with W-2s filed. Don’t forget, it takes several days for financial institutions to process returns. And, with the President’s Day Holiday, refunds could be received as late as February 27, 2017.
